dc.descriptionThis paper theoretically develops disability in relation to the systems theory proposed by Niklas Luhmann. It also suggests that, although it is a revealing approach, disability, when approached as a social construct, tends to lose sight of the richness of its edges, as well as of the particularities of each case or type of disability. Therefore, it would be necessary to resort to a more plausible interpretation in terms of the complexity that disability implies, thus, it is proposed to retake the Systems Theory as a different way of observing in order to achieve better distinctions, probably with greater depth and precision. In this way, by approaching disability as a second-order observation problem, the possibility of understanding individuals from a complex perspective is opened. In other words, it would be feasible to affirm that there is no univocal way of communicating disability since, from this point of view, there would be several descriptions, as well as diverse observations conditioned by the systems.en-US
dc.descriptionEl presente escrito desarrolla teóricamente la discapacidad en relación con la teoría de sistemas propuesta por Niklas Luhmann. Asimismo, sugiere que, aunque se trata de un enfoque revelador, la discapacidad al ser abordada como una construcción social, tiende a perder de vista la riqueza de sus aristas, así como de las particularidades de cada caso o tipo de discapacidad. Por tanto, habría que acudir a una interpretación más plausible en términos de la complejidad que implica la discapacidad, de esta manera, se propone retomar la teoría de sistemas como una forma distinta de observar para así lograr distinciones mejores, probablemente con mayor profundidad y precisión. De esta manera, al abordar la discapacidad como un problema de observación de segundo orden, se abre la posibilidad de entender a los individuos desde una perspectiva compleja. Es decir, sería viable afirmar que no existe una forma unívoca de comunicar la discapacidad ya que, a partir de esta óptica, existirían varias descripciones, así como diversas observaciones condicionadas por los sistemas.es-ES
