The former industrialization of Magallanes was a particular economic phenomena that typified the boom and development  of the southern Chilena territory during the period between the last decade of the XIX century and the  first two decades  of the  XX century.  In a context  of geographic isolation and remoteness served as a encouragement to the satisfaction of numerous requirements  of service needs and supplies  of goods, that the importing from Europe did not fulfill in time due. It was at he same time an evidence  of the creativity, intelligence, and vigor of the Europeans immigrants, that contribute to the Magellan autonomy and self-sufficiency during a decisive span of its history.es-ES
