dc.descriptionThe study of parliamentary origins in medieval Europa has concentrated almost exclusively on the analysis of the composition and business of assemblies and the transformation that turned them into cortes and parliaments. But a look at the changes concerning institutional nomenclature also contributes to the understanding of the political phenomenon, particularly when the study focuses on the sources of the second half of the twelfth century. In that period, the incoming use of the qualified concept curia plena is one of the signs of a new type of royal assembly in the making for León, Castile and Aragón.en-US
dc.descriptionEl estudio de los orígenes parlamentarios en la Europa medieval se ha concentrado casi exclusivamente en el análisis de la composición y los asuntos tratados en las asambleas y las transformaciones que al respecto se produjeron para convertirse en cortes y parlamentos. Pero una revisión de los cambios relativos a la nomenclatura institucional también aporta a la comprensión del fenómeno político, particularmente cuando el estudio se enfoca en los registros de la segunda mitad del siglo XII. En ese período, la introducción del concepto adjetivado curia plena es una de las manifestaciones de la gestación de un nuevo tipo de asamblea monárquica en León, Castilla y Aragón.es-ES
