dc.descriptionThe city of Malaga resisted the Coup d’État in July 1936 that led to the so-called Spanish Civil War, remaining as a Republican war until February 8, 1937, when it was taken by the rebel troops. The present text analyzes, through the research in the hemerographic and archival sources conserved from that time, the role that dance had in this city during the seven months when it was under Republican influence, considering its propaganda and collection status, as well as the artists, scenarios and works that staged in this period.en-US
dc.descriptionLa ciudad de Málaga resistió el Golpe de Estado de julio de 1936 que desembocó en la denominada Guerra Civil española, permaneciendo como frente de guerra republicano hasta el 8 de febrero de 1937, fecha en que fue tomada por las tropas sublevadas. El presente texto analiza, a través del estudio de las fuentes hemerográficas y de archivo que se conservan de la época, el papel que la danza tuvo en esta ciudad durante los siete meses en que estuvo bajo la influencia republicana, considerando tanto su estatus propagandístico y recaudatorio como los artistas, escenarios y obras que protagonizaron este período.es-ES
