dc.descriptionThis essay looks at the idea of tradition from the specific ways in which Chilean literary history has constructed it. More specifically, its aim is to study this ideological construct from the notion of totalization, understood as a key discursive strategy of historical narratives within the national literary context. Analyzing the works of Ricardo Latcham and Cedomil Goic, as representative of predominant modes of historical narratives, I attempt to open the discussion on tradition beyond its essential imagination, and from the specific material conditions in which it is constructed in discourse.en-US
dc.descriptionEl presente ensayo busca observar críticamente la idea de tradición a partir de los modos específicos en que la historia literaria chilena la ha construido. Específicamente, se propone estudiar esta construcción ideológica a partir de la noción de totalización, entendida como la estrategia discursiva de elaboración histórica en el contexto literario nacional. A partir del análisis de las propuestas de Ricardo Latcham y Cedomil Goic, en tanto representativas de modalidades predominantes de producción historiográfica, se pretende abrir la discusión en torno a la idea de tradición atendiendo a las condiciones concretas en que esta se construye en el discurso.es-ES
