dc.description  The telerehabilitation process carried out with the elderly beneficiaries of the “CapaciTO” day centre was carried out during quarantine periods in Chile, because the policies have been aimed at the confinement of this age group. The success of the telerehabilitation program lies in the activities prior to start-up, where discussions were held to understand what would be the most appropriate way of communicating with the elderly people, recognizing effective communication techniques and the various forms of communication that exist. Topics related to mental health and how professionals projected the various difficulties that could arise in complex times were addressed. This, thinking of people with chronic degenerative pathologies, such as dementia, and those self-reliant elderly Adults.The contact and opinion of each family was fundamental, since it allowed them to know the technological means and knowledge of the area to carry out the tele-rehabilitation. dc.descriptionEl proceso de telerehabilitación realizado con las personas mayores beneficiarias del centro de día “CapaciTO” fue realizado en tiempos de cuarentena en Chile, debido a que las políticas han estado destinadas al confinamiento de este grupo etario. El éxito del programa de telerehabilitación radicó en las actividades previas a la puesta en marcha, donde se realizaron conversatorios con la finalidad de comprender cuál sería la forma más idónea de comunicarse con las personas mayores, reconociendo técnicas de comunicación efectiva y las diversas formas de comunicación que existen. Se abordaron temas relacionados con la salud mental y cómo proyectaban los profesionales las diversas dificultades que se podían dar en tiempos complejos, pensando en personas con patologías crónicas degenerativas, como las demencias y en aquellos Adultos Mayores autovalentes.El contacto y toma de parecer de cada familia fue fundamental, ya que permitió conocer los medios tecnológicos y conocimientos del área para llevar a cabo la telerehabilitación. Además del interés por probar con este nuevo desafío. Todo esto permitiría estructurar una nueva forma de funcionamiento desde el contexto virtual y la Terapia Ocupacional.es-ES
