dc.descriptionThe interpretation of technological artifacts as neutral and feasible tools of human control appears as a central concept in the so-called engineering philosophy of technology. The counterpoint of this reading, however, attributes a capital-liberalist background to technological development, inferring, jointly, a capacity for self-growth that would make effective human domination difficult. Thus, this 'political' conception of technology would distance itself from the positivist theoretical basis of the engineering approach, offering spaces to generate non-instrumental interpretations of technological artifacts.en-US
dc.descriptionLa interpretación de los artefactos tecnológicos como herramientas neutrales y factibles de control humano, aparece como un concepto central en la denominada filosofía ingenieril de la tecnología. El contrapunto de esta lectura, sin embargo, atribuye un trasfondo capital-liberalista al desarrollo tecnológico, infiriendo, conjuntamente, una capacidad de autocrecimiento que dificultaría un dominio humano efectivo. Así, esta concepción ‘política’ de la tecnología se distanciaría de la base teórica positivista del enfoque ingenieril, ofreciendo espacios para generar interpretaciones no instrumentales de los artefactos tecnológicos.es-ES
