The following article examines the recent “Queer theory” understood as a configuration of a new hermeneutics of the care of self. To that end, we propose, first, to answer the question how and when the Queer Theory arises; second, how this theory postulates an improvement of feminism; third, to explain the most important contributions of Michel Foucault to this new conception; and finally, in what sense this theory can be seen as a new hermeneutics of the care of the self.El siguiente artículo examina la reciente “Teoría Queer” entendida como configuración de una nueva hermenéutica del cuidado de sí. Para ello nos proponemos, primero, responder a la pregunta cómo y cuándo surge la Teoría Queer; segundo, cómo esta teoría postula una superación del feminismo; tercero, exponer los aportes más importantes de Michel Foucault para esta nueva concepción; y finalmente, en qué sentido puede ser visto esta teoría como una nueva hermenéutica del cuidado de sí.
