| dc.description | The understanding of moral development is a challenge for the human sciences in the twenty-first century. While Lawrence Kohlberg established decades ago its paradigmatic cognitive-developmental theory of moral judgment construction, today, this vision proves to be insufficient to explain the complexity of the moral phenomenon. This being so, the interdisciplinary perspective appears as the most appropriate reflection to address the problem of structuring the moral consciousness and its implications in various areas of life. In this context, new concepts and insights from cognitive neuroscience and experimental philosophy are incorporated in an original way into the state of the art. This enriches the studies with the analysis of other determinants of morality as they are the emotional factors and the functional brain research that help us understand what happens physically when we think about moral decisions. | en-US |
| dc.description | La comprensión del desarrollo moral constituye un auténtico desafío para las ciencias humanas en el siglo XXI. Si bien Lawrence Kohlberg estableció hace unas décadas su paradigmática teoría cognitivo-evolutiva de construcción del juicio moral, hoy esta visión resulta insuficiente para explicar la complejidad del fenómeno moral. Siendo esto así, la perspectiva interdisciplinar aparece como la alternativa de reflexión más adecuada para abordar hoy el problema de la estructuración de la conciencia moral y sus implica- ciones en diversas áreas de la vida. En este contexto, nuevos conceptos y puntos de vista provenientes de la neurociencia cognitiva y la filosofía experimental se incorporan de manera original al estado del arte, enriqueciendo los estudios con el análisis de otros elementos determinantes de la moral como son el factor emocional y las investigaciones funcionales del cerebro que ayudan a entender lo que acontece físicamente cuando pensamos en torno a decisiones morales. | es-ES |
