| dc.description | In "Quelques réflexions sur la philosophie de l'hitlérisme" (1934) Levinas would urge the European liberal tradition to confront the awakening of elementary feelings on the part of Hitlerism. In those years, his teacher at the University of Strasbourg, Charles Blondel, French psychologist and representative of the liberal tradition of the Third French Republic, tried to understand these new modes of social and political participation based on a "desire to live the elementary desires". The current article's goal is to investigate the meaning acquired for Blondel in the interwar period of Europe of the "return to the elemental", based on his inves- tigation about the "mythical" or "primitive" thinking and its possible categorization by Levinas in his studies of the "elementary philosophy" of Hitlerism. | en-US |

En aquellos años, su maestro en la Universidad de Estrasburgo, Charles Blondel, psicólogo francés y representante de la tradición liberal de la Tercera República Francesa, intentaría comprender estos nuevos modos de participación social y política basados en un “querer vivir de los deseos elementales”. El presente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar el sentido que adquiere para Blondel este «retorno de lo elemental» en la Europa de entreguerras, a partir de su indagación sobre el pensamiento “mítico” o “primitivo” y su posible categorización con vistas a interpretar las nuevas formas de “representación colectiva” de la sociedad europea “civilizada”, como así también reconocer la recepción del legado blondeliano por parte de Levinas en su estudio de la “filosofía elemental” del hitlerismo. | es-ES |
