The objective of this paper is to analyze the influence of behaviorism would have had in the formation and development of psychology and cognitive science in general. To achieve this, we review first some historical background on the development of this current psychological, and later, in the second part, we analyze the degree and form in which some of the central theoretical and methodo- logical principles of behaviorism would be present in the cognitive paradigm, hindering a thorough investigation on the mind.El objetivo que se persigue en este trabajo, es analizar la influencia que habría tenido el conductismo en la constitución y desa- rrollo de la psicología y ciencias cognitivas en general. Para lograr lo anterior, se revisan primero algunos antecedentes históricos relativos al desarrollo de esta corriente psicológica, y posteriormente, en la segunda parte, se analiza el grado y la forma bajo la cual algunos de los postulados metodológicos y teóricos centrales del conductismo, se encontrarían presentes en el paradigma cognitivista, dificultando una investigación cabal sobre la mente.
