| dc.description | Presentamos los resultados de un proyecto exploratorio y etnográfico acerca de las expresiones fúnebres de las comunidades andinas de Chile. En particular, se describen los rituales mortuorios contemporáneos, analizando la concepción de estas comunidades en torno a la muerte, así como también el contexto de relación que surge y se mantiene entre los vivos y los difuntos. Enmarcamos la investigación en un estudio de caso entre las comunidades indígenas aymaras, ubicadas en la XV Región de Arica y Parinacota; quechuas, situados en el poblado de Ollagüe, II Región de Antofagasta; y atacameños, quienes habitan en la cuenca del río Loa y el entorno del salar de Atacama, en la misma región de Antofagasta, y sus espacios transfronterizos, principalmente.
We present the results of an exploratory and ethnographic project about the funeral expressions of the Andean communities of Chile. In particular, we describe the contemporary mortuary rituals, analyzing the conception around death of these communities, as well as the context of relationship that arises and remains between the living and the dead. We frame the research in a study case among the indigenous Aymara communities, located in the 15th region of Arica and Parinacota; Quechua communities, located mainly in the town of Ollagüe, in the 2nd region of Antofagasta; and Atacameños, who live in the province of El Loa and along the Atacama desert and mainly its cross-border spaces. | es-ES |
