| dc.description | La idea de que los cuidados son desde las mujeres, ha transitado de generación en generación adaptándose a cada cultura y sociedad. Actividad que hoy asumen mayoritariamente las mujeres adultas mayores, en vista de que los padres por diversas situaciones socio-laborales no logran equilibrar los espacios familia-trabajo, situación que se resuelve bajo el apoyo de las abuelas maternas o paternas.Esta especie de solidaridad intergeneracional entre mujeres, traería como consecuencia el que las abuelas de 60 a 80 años, que son responsables del cuidado de sus nietos(s), que participan en la Parroquia Damián de Molokai, presentan dificultades para diferenciar su rol entre madres y abuelas. Lo que es una solución para las más jóvenes, se presenta como un desafió para las mayores.Con el propósito de saber cómo significan estas mujeres su rol de abuelas cuidadoras, se realizó un estudio de corte cualitativo-interpretativo bajo un enfoque fenomenológico, cuyo fin es buscar los significados de la realidad que viven doce mujeres adultas mayores que participan en la parroquia mencionada. Para dicho efecto se utilizó el Grupo de Discusión y la entrevista semi-estructurada como técnicas de recolección de datos.Como principal hallazgo se puede identificar la fusión de los roles de mujer, madre y abuela que estas mujeres realizan al momento de significar su rol de abuela cuidadora.
The idea that care comes from women has gone from generation to generation and has adapted to every culture and society. This activity is performed mainly by older women, because the parents by various social and work situations fail to balance family and work spaces, this situation is resolved under the support of maternal or paternal grandmothers.This kind of intergenerational solidarity among women, results that grandmothers from 60 to 80, who are responsible for caring for their grandchildren (s) involved in the Damien of Molokai Parish, have difficulty to distinguish between their rol as mothers and their role as grandmothers. What is a solution for the youngest, is presented as a challenge for the elderly women.In order to know how these women mean their role as carers grandmothers, a qualitative study under a court-interpretive phenomenological approach was performed, which aims to find the meanings of reality from twelve elderly women living involved in the parish mentioned. For this purpose, a group discussion and semi-structured interview were used as data collection techniques.As a major finding that can be identified, is the merging of wife, mother and grandmother roles that these women have at the moment of mean their role as a caregiver grandmother. | es-ES |
