| dc.description | A theoretical-critical analysis is presented regarding the possibilities of parental disabilities psychotherapy, mandated by Family Courts. The mechanisms of power that operate in the relationship between the State, the judicial apparatus and the mental health devices are reviewed. Tensions and risks of the mandated psychotherapy are identified, given it would not recognize the contextual, historical and relational particularity in which it emerges, nor its political reach.
