| dc.description | The purpose of this article is to engage in a reflection on the subjectivities that occur within justice institutions when dealing with cases of women who have suffered episodes of domestic violence. It seeks to broaden the knowledge of Chilean justice as an object of interest for Sociology and Social Work, in addition to other related disciplines. To this end, we report on field work carried out in prosecutor’s offices, family courts and guarantee courts in Chile. The challenges of studying justice institutions in this context are raised, and then some relevant findings are presented that show the ethical-practical tensions that underlie the treatment of violence against women by legal officials. | en-US |
| dc.description | El presente artículo tiene por finalidad iniciar una reflexión sobre las subjetividades que intervienen al interior de las instituciones de justicia al tratar los casos de mujeres que han sufrido episodios de violencia de pareja. Este busca ampliar el conocimiento de la justicia chilena en tanto que objeto de interés para la Sociología y el Trabajo Social, además de otras disciplinas vinculadas. Para ello, se rinde cuenta de un trabajo de campo realizado en Fiscalías, Tribunales de Familia y Juzgados de Garantía en Chile. Se plantean los desafíos de estudiar a las instituciones de justicia en este contexto, para luego presentar algunos hallazgos relevantes que muestran las tensiones ético-prácticas que subyacen al tratamiento de las violencias hacia las mujeres por parte de las y los funcionarios del ámbito jurídico. | es-ES |
