| dc.description | In the following research, we will analyze suicide in Japan through the representations found in Japanese pop culture, such as cinema, animation (anime) and literature –starting in the late eighties and extending to the present–. Our proposal advocates for an understanding of this phenomenon from a sociocultural perspective, since the way in which Japanese society conceives this topic seems to be linked to ideas and beliefs of great depth, the same that structure its world view. Thus, the daily manner the studied authors portray suicide, as well as the awareness they possess about its existence, seems to us a reflection of what we will call a “suicide culture”. | en-US |
| dc.description | En la siguiente investigación, realizaremos un análisis del suicidio en Japón a partir de diversas representaciones de esta temática presentes en la cultura pop nipona, tales como el cine, la animación (anime) y la literatura –comenzando desde fines de los años ochenta y extendiéndonos hasta la actualidad–. Nuestra propuesta aboga por la comprensión de este fenómeno desde una perspectiva sociocultural, ya que la forma en que la sociedad japonesa lo concibe parece estar ligada con ideas y creencias de gran profundidad que conforman su visión de mundo. Así, la cotidianidad con que los autores trabajados retratan el suicidio al igual que la consciencia que poseen sobre su existencia, nos parecen el reflejo de lo que llamaremos una “cultura del suicidio”. | es-ES |
