| dc.description | The aim of this article is to reconstruct the sociological knowledge on Argentine Pentecostalism. To this end, we propose to identify at each stage of its development the epistemological function fulfilled by a model of imagined society and the dominant approaches that reinforce it. The master questions about the object of study vary considerably if one assumes: (a) a society design in transition, strongly influenced by structural-functionalism; (b) a re-enchanted, plural and diverse society in which the hermeneutic and interpretative turn prevails; (c) an exclusionary society analyzed through local knowledge, qualitative methods and the anthropological perspective or (d) a deinstitutionalized society where networks, connections and exchanges occupy a key place. In the conclusions we will characterize the evangelical phenomenon on the basis of the latter model of society. | en-US |
| dc.description | El objetivo del artículo consiste en reconstruir el conocimiento sociológico sobre el pentecostalismo argentino. Para ello nos proponemos identificar en cada etapa de su desarrollo la función epistemológica que cumple un modelo de sociedad imaginada y los enfoques dominantes que la refuerzan. Las preguntas maestras sobre el objeto de estudio varían considerablemente si se asume: (a) un diseño de sociedad en transición, fuertemente influido por el estructural-funcionalismo; (b) una sociedad reencantada, plural y diversa en la que prima el giro hermeneútico e intrepretativo; (c) una sociedad excluyente analizada a través del conocimiento local, los métodos cualitativos y la perspectiva antropológica o (d) una sociedad desintitucionalizada en donde las redes, las conexiones e intercambios ocupan un lugar clave. En las conclusiones vamos acaracterizar al fenómeno evangélico en base a éste último modelo de sociedad. | es-ES |
