| dc.description | Throughout the history of Christianity, the discernment of spirits has been a fundamental mechanism for controlling access to the charism. Its development has been deeply linked to the changes in the dominant ecclesial models in each period and region. With the aim of providing new insights into this device, we propose to analyze it in the context of peripheral Christianity. Specifically, we will address how this theological device takes flesh in the specific case of the Moqoit gospel. To do so, we will focus on the analysis of the social structure of Moqoit evangelical churches and the role of face-to-face interactions in them. We will explore how the members of these churches re-signify this device by articulating it with pre-existing Moqoit conceptions about the links with non-human powers; the testimonies about the management of health and illness; the experience of worship as a privileged space for the experience of joy and the role of community experience. In addition, we will discuss the role played by Mennonite Fraternal Workers and attempts to regulate the experience of Moqoit believers. Finally, we will seek to show how, in the discernment of spirits, the processes of construction of one of the Moqoit's characteristic projects of modernity are evident. | en-US |
| dc.description | El discernimiento de espíritus ha sido a lo largo de la historia del cristianismo un mecanismo fundamental para el control del acceso al carisma. Su desarrollo ha estado profundamente ligado a los cambios en los modelos eclesiales dominantes en cada período y región. Con el objetivo de aportar nuevas miradas sobre este dispositivo, nos proponemos analizarlo en el contexto de los cristianismos periféricos. Específicamente abordaremos cómo este dispositivo teológico toma carne en el caso específico del evangelio moqoit. Para ello nos centraremos en el análisis de la estructura social de las iglesias evangélicas moqoit y el rol en ellas de las interacciones cara a cara. Exploraremos cómo los miembros de estas iglesias resignifican este dispositivo articulándolo con las concepciones moqoit preexistentes sobre los vínculos con las potencias no-humanas; los testimonios sobre la gestión de la salud y enfermedad; la experiencia del culto como espacio privilegiado para la experimentación del gozo y el rol de la experiencia comunitaria. Además, discutiremos el papel desempeñado por los Obreros Fraternales Menonitas y los intentos de regulación de la experiencia de los creyentes moqoit. Finalmente, buscaremos mostrar cómo, en el discernimiento de espíritus, se evidencian los procesos de construcción de uno de los proyectos de modernidad característicos de los moqoit. | es-ES |
