| dc.description | This article studies the differences between the design and implementation of the first Chilean hydroelectric power plant, at the beginning of the 1940s. In the previous investigations, highlights the private and public entities that planned the national electrification policy, undervaluing the role of local actors in the construction and orientation of such policy. Through public and private sources, it will be exposed how the local groups of the Province of Osorno intervened in the implementation of the hydroelectric plant. | dc.description | El presente artículo estudia las diferencias entre el diseño y la implementación de la primera central hidroeléctrica chilena, a inicios de la década de 1940. En las investigaciones previas se destacan las entidades privadas y públicas que planificaron la política de electrificación nacional, subvalorando el papel de actores locales en la construcción y orientación de tal política. A través de fuentes documentales, públicas y privadas, se expondrá cómo los grupos locales de la Provincia de Osorno intervinieron en la implementación de la central hidroeléctrica redirigiendo la energía a sus ámbitos particulares de interés, en desmedro de las propuestas centralizadoras originales.Palabras clave: Hidroelectricidad, industrialización, desarrollismo. | es-ES |
