This commentary analyzes a recent ruling of the Supreme Court of Chile, by which, through an exequatur procedure, it recognizes and authorizes the enforcement of an arbitration award issued by a foreign (German) arbitration tribunal, applying Law 19.971 on International Commercial Arbitration and the New York Convention. The commentary also analyzes the jurisprudential trend of the Supreme Court of Chile regarding the recognition of foreign arbitration awards, the application of Law 19.971 and the reception of the New York Convention.    Este comentario analiza una reciente sentencia de la Corte Suprema de Chile, mediante la cual, conociendo un procedimiento de exequatur, se reconoce y autoriza el cumplimiento de un laudo arbitral dictado por un tribunal arbitral extranjero (alemán), aplicando la Ley 19.971 sobre Arbitraje Comercial Internacional y la Convención de Nueva York. En el comentario también se analiza cuál ha sido la tendencia jurisprudencial de la Corte Suprema de Chile respecto del reconocimiento de laudos arbitrales extranjeros, la aplicación que ha tenido la Ley 19.971 y la recepción de la Convención de Nueva York.
