| dc.description | The study aimed to establish the existence of a relationship between suicidal ideation and Dysfunctional Parental Styles in adolescents with or without self-harm in Metropolitan Lima. The study was of a substantive type, correlational design, with descriptive, comparative and correlational analysis, the participants were 512 adolescents of both sexes, their ages fluctuated between 14 and 18 years, to whom the Dysfunctional Parental Styles Scales Parker, Beck and Kovac's Suicidal Ideation. The results showed that 50% of the adolescents perceive a medium to high level in the father's dysfunctional parental style, also in abuse and protection; in the case of the mother, indifference and overprotection stood out, 70% manifested abuse on the part of the maternal figure, while 52% of the adolescents demonstrated a moderate to severe level of suicidal ideation. 59.2% reported that self-harm is not carried out, although 40.8% answered affirmatively. The conclusions reported a significant and direct relationship between suicidal ideation and dysfunctional parenting styles, as well as detecting that adolescents who perform self-harm have greater dysfunctional parenting styles compared to those who do not perform self-harm. | en-US |
| dc.description | El estudio tuvo como objetivo establecer la existencia de una relación entre la ideación suicida y los Estilos Parentales Disfuncionales en adolescentes con o sin autolesiones de Lima Metropolitana. El estudio fue de tipo sustantivo, de diseño correlacional, con análisis descriptivo, comparativo y correlacional, los participantes fueron 512 adolescentes de ambos sexos, sus edades fluctuaban entre los 14 y 18 años, a quienes se les aplicó las Escalas de Estilos Parentales Disfuncionales de Parker, Ideación Suicida de Beck y Kovac. Los resultados evidenciaron que el 50% de los adolescentes perciben un nivel medio a alto en el estilo parental disfuncional del padre, también en abuso y protección; en caso de la madre sobresalieron la indiferencia y sobreprotección, el 70% manifestaron abuso de la parte de la figura materna, en tanto, 52% de los adolescentes demostraron un nivel moderado a grave en la ideación suicida. El 59.2% refirieron que no se realizan autolesiones, aunque 40.8% sí respondió afirmativamente. Las conclusiones reportaron que hay relación significativa y directa entre la ideación suicida y los estilos parentales disfuncionales, así como se detecta que los adolescentes que realizan autolesiones tienen mayores estilos parentales disfuncionales en comparación con quienes no se realizan autolesiones. | es-ES |
