The objective of this study is to describe the meanings associated with corporeality that women undergoing breast cancer treatment have and who participate in a support group, considering three dimensions of the body: body image, femininity and sexuality. As it is a qualitative study, it consists of a semi-structured group interview with five women participating in the “Nueva Vida Rancagua” support group, carrying out an interpretive content analysis, which allowed visualizing the problem from the perspective of the protagonists themselves.   The findings of the study give way to new dimensions that reflect how the different meanings of cancer affect their experiences regarding corporality, enhanced by discourses and otherness that represent attitudes and behaviors of a society or community towards the disease. These discourses are analyzed according to the support groups, both in their detrimental impact on the development of the disease, considering categories such as abandonment, anguish, fear, rejection of their new reality; as in its positive impact, through categories such as empathy and the need to find understanding and containment, provided by the networks they generate and the support that is generated in their circles.Este estudio tiene por objetivo describir los significados asociados a la corporalidad que tienen mujeres en tratamiento de cáncer de mama y que participan en un grupo de apoyo, considerando tres dimensiones del cuerpo: la imagen corporal, la feminidad y la sexualidad. Al ser un estudio cualitativo consta de una entrevista semiestructurada de carácter grupal a cinco mujeres participantes del grupo de apoyo “Nueva Vida Rancagua”, realizándose un análisis interpretativo de contenido, el que permitió visualizar la problemática desde la visión de las propias protagonistas. Los hallazgos del estudio dan paso a nuevas dimensiones que reflejan cómo los distintos significados del cáncer afectan sus experiencias respecto a la corporalidad, acrecentado por discursos y otredades que representan actitudes y comportamientos de una sociedad o comunidad frente a la enfermedad. Se analizan estos discursos en función de los grupos de apoyo, tanto en su impacto perjudicial para desarrollo de la enfermedad, considerando categorías como el abandono, la angustia, el miedo, el rechazo a su nueva realidad; como en su impacto positivo, a través de categorías como la empatía y la necesidad de encontrar entendimiento y contención, proporcionado por las redes que generan y el acompañamiento que se genera en sus círculos.
