En la presente investigación se muestran los resultados observados a partir de un análisis fonético-auditivo y fonético-acústico de los alófonos del fonema /r/ producidos por adultos chilenos de las ciudades de Iquique, La Serena, Valparaíso, Santiago, Concepción, Temuco, Coyhaique y Punta Arenas, que al momento de las grabaciones no habían terminado sus estudios escolares obligatorios, según dicta el Ministerio de Educación de Chile. El corpus de habla corresponde a la lectura de oraciones fonéticamente equilibradas de manera que el sonido [r] apareciera en inicio de palabra (como en ), seguida de (como en ), posterior a (como en ) y entre vocales (como en ). De cada uno de los hablantes, se observaron 3 ocurrencias por contexto, obteniendo como resultado un total de 960 realizaciones. Los resultados de esta investigación muestran la pronunciación de los sonidos esperados, es decir, uno vibrante múltiple, alveolar, sonoro ([r]) y otro fono aproximante, alveolar sonoro([ɹ]), tal como se manifestó en la lectura de oraciones en hablantes chilenos de nivel sociocultural medio alto (Retamal y Soto-Barba, 2017). Contra lo esperado, dado el nivel sociocultural de los informantes, prácticamente no se pronunció el sonido fricativo, alveolar, sonoro ([ɹ̝]), mientras que, de modo relativamente sistemático, se articuló un sonido africado oclusivizante, sonora, oral, ([d ̪̺͡ɹ̝]), el cual no ha sido descrito en la literatura especializada para el español chileno. Abstract: This research shows the results observed from a phonetic-auditory and phonetic-acoustic analysis of the allophones of the phoneme /r/ produced by Chilean adults from the cities of Iquique, La Serena, Valparaíso, Santiago, Concepción, Temuco, Coyhaique and Punta Arenas, who at the time of the recordings had not finished their compulsory school studies, according to the Chilean Ministry of Education. The speech corpus corresponds to the reading of phonetically balanced sentences so that the sound [r] appears at the beginning of the word (as in ), followed by (as in ), after (as in ) and between vowels (as in ). Three occurrences per context were observed for each speaker, resulting in a total of 960 realizations. The results of this research show the pronunciation of the expected sounds, that is, a trill, alveolar, voiced ([r]) and another approximant phone, alveolar voiced ([ɹ]), as manifested in the reading of sentences in Chilean speakers of a medium-high sociocultural level (Retamal and Soto-Barba, 2017). Contrary to what was expected, given the sociocultural level of the informants, the fricative, alveolar, voiced sound ([ɹ̝]) was practically not pronounced, while, in a relatively systematic way, a plosive affricate, voiced, oral, sound ([d ̪̺͡ɹ̝]) was articulated, which it has not been described in the specialized literature for Chilean Spanish.
