dc.descriptionThis socio-spatial study, applied to the El Prohibido (The Forbidden, in Spanish) Cultural Center, located in Cuenca-Ecuador, aims to broaden the view of cultural heritage built on the basis of architectural-cultural intervention. A descriptive, cross-sectional and prospective methodology is used, based on bibliographic and critical theoretical analyses on the following topics: 1) local regulations; 2) queer theory; 3) cultural rights, and 4) participatory governance, which converge in this case study. The heritage potential of architectural sites is exposed through a subject-object interaction; thus, contextualizing the construction of cultural identities and the full exercise of individual and collective law, which surpass the current conventional line on built cultural heritage.en-US
dc.descriptionEl estudio socioespacial aplicado al caso del centro cultural El Prohibido (Cuenca, Ecuador) pretende ampliar la visión del patrimonio cultural edificado con base en la intervención arquitectónico–cultural. Se emplea una metodología descriptiva, transversal y prospectiva, sustentada en la técnica bibliográfica y el análisis teórico crítico sobre las materias de: 1) la normativa local; 2) la teoría queer; 3) los derechos culturales; y 4) la gobernanza participativa, las cuales se intersectan en el caso de estudio. Se expone el potencial patrimonial de las entidades arquitectónicas a través de la interacción sujeto-objeto y con ello se contextualiza la construcción de las identidades culturales y el ejercicio pleno de derecho individual y colectivo, el cual supera la línea convencional vigente sobre patrimonio cultural edificado.es-ES
