Abstract
The objective of the research consists of the creation and validation of a satisfaction scale of the online classes of the Early Childhood Education career in Chile, and the establishment of the nomological validity (predictive capacity) of the quality of global satisfaction. Methods: The instrument was applied to a stratified sample of 851 undergraduate students from 14 universities in Chile. The data were processed using the SPSS 20 statistical package and had the respective ethical safeguards through informed consent. Following the pertinent statistical analyzes for the validation of the instrument, we can account for a reliable and acceptable questionnaire (α = 0, 807), establishing 5 dimensions (emotions, learning, methodology and evaluation), in 25 questions, which are evaluated through on a 3-point Likert scale. It is concluded by providing two possible ways for its validation: in the validation process, expert judgments; and the psychometric validation of the questionnaire through intra-test and inter-test methods. It concludes by providing two possible ways to validate it: include expert judgments in the validation process; and the psychometric validation of the questionnaire through intra-test and inter-test methods. Results: satisfaction scale for online classes was designed based on the theoretical and methodological systematization of the variables that it evaluates, as well as its adequate content validation. Five factors were identified: a) Motivational; b) Learning; c) Didactics; d) Evaluation and e) Online platforms. Adequate inter-item correlations, reliability indices with mean values and a coherent factorial structure were also obtained in the second part of the instrument, composed of factors ordered in the following register: emotions, learning, methodology and evaluation. Conclusion: According to the results obtained, they revealed an adequate fit of the model to the data, supporting the validity of the proposed model of five factors that measure satisfaction and their relationship in the educational field. The instrument developed has adequate psychometric properties for evaluating the level of satisfaction in online classes.
