The following article presents a critical and expansive analysis of shamanism, articulating three moments that develop different approaches around this category. Through an introduction that explains the etymological origin of the term shaman, the first section is developed around the canonical approaches of Mircea Eliade and Claude Lévi-Strauss, oriented to the history of religion and psychology respectively. With this background, a second moment arises following the copernican turn of Pierre Clastres, which places shamanic practice from the angle of political power, discourse and metaphysics. In an exercise to expand this route, the third section delves into the amerindian perspectivism through notes from contemporary brazilian anthropology. This trip concludes with the words of the Yanomami shaman Davi Kopenawa, who opens the shamanic reflection on current times and his vision of the fall of the sky.El siguiente artículo plantea un análisis crítico y expansivo sobre el chamanismo, articulando tres momentos que desarrollan enfoques distintos en torno a esta categoría. Mediante una introducción que explica el origen etimológico del término chamán, se desarrolla la primera sección en torno a los abordajes canónicos de Mircea Eliade y Claude Lévi-Strauss, orientados a la historia de la religión y a la psicología respectivamente. Con estos antecedentes, se plantea un segundo momento siguiendo el giro copernicano de Pierre Clastres, el cual sitúa la práctica chamánica desde el ángulo del poder político, el discurso y la metafísica. En un ejercicio de expandir esta ruta, la tercera sección se adentra en el perspectivismo amerindio a través de notas de la antropología brasilera contemporánea. Este viaje concluye con las palabras del chamán yanomami Davi Kopenawa, quien abre la reflexión chamánica ante los tiempos actuales y su visión sobre la caída del cielo.
