dc.descriptionThis article analyzes the transformations that occurred in the Argentine electricity sector between the 1940s and the 1980s. Based on an analysis of official documents, management reports and balance sheets, and the specialized press, it studies the role that the national State played in the organization, provision, and distribution of electricity, exercising control of this activity through national and provincial state-owned enterprises (SOEs), mainly Water and Electrical  Energy (AyEE), Electric Services of the Greater Buenos Aires (SEGBA), and North Patagonian Hydroelectric (Hidronor). Special attention is paid to the activity of these SOEs, their performance, and the works implemented, such as regulatory changes and changes in the energy matrix, with consideration given to the alterations that occurred between the rise and decline of SOEs and different models of accumulation.en-US
dc.descriptionEste artículo analiza las transformaciones acontecidas en el sector eléctrico argentino entre las décadas de 1940 y 1980. A partir de un análisis de documentos oficiales, reportes y balances de gestión y de la prensa especializada, estudia el rol que el Estado nacional desempeñó en la organización, provisión y distribución de energía eléctrica, ejerciendo el control de dicha actividad por medio de empresas públicas nacionales y provinciales, principalmente Agua y Energía Eléctrica (AyEE), Servicios Eléctricos del Gran Buenos Aires (SEGBA) e Hidroeléctrica Norpatagónica (Hidronor). Se presta especial atención a la actividad de estas empresas, su desempeño y las obras implementadas, como los cambios regulatorios y en la matriz energética, atendiendo a las alteraciones acontecidas entre el auge y el declive de las empresas públicas y los distintos modelos de acumulación.es-ES
