dc.descriptionThe Assemblies of God - ADs, according to the 2010 Census, the largest Pentecostal churches in Brazil, therefore, in theory, the most involved with racial issues, since the Pentecostal membership is mostly poorer and more black. The ADs, however, incorporated women, but did not discuss machismo; they welcomed the poor but did not question the structures of poverty. And, finally, did they integrate blacks, but did they not challenge racism? Did they? Why should the ADs have acted differently from the military system, the economic structure, other churches and, finally, Brazilian society itself, if this has always been the model? Furthermore, in the ADs there are no black people, there are only assembly members.en-US
dc.descriptionLas Asambleas de Dios - ADs, según el Censo de 2010, las mayores iglesias pentecostales de Brasil, por lo tanto, en teoría, las más involucradas con las cuestiones raciales, porque la membresía pentecostal es en su mayoría pobre y negra. Las AD, sin embargo, incorporaron a las mujeres, pero no discutieron el machismo; acogieron a los pobres, pero no cuestionaron las estructuras de la pobreza. Y, por último, integraron a los negros, ¿pero no cuestionaron el racismo? ¿Tenían que hacerlo? ¿Por qué los AD tendrían que haber actuado de forma diferente al sistema militar, a la estructura económica, a las otras iglesias y, finalmente, a la propia sociedad brasileña, si éste ha sido siempre el modelo? Además, en las ADs no hay personas negras, sólo hay personas de asambleas.es-ES

As ADs, no entanto, incorporaram as mulheres, mas não discutiram os machismos; acolheram os pobres, mas não questionaram as estruturas da pobreza. E, por fim, integraram os negros, mas não contestaram os racismos? Precisavam? Por que as ADs deveriam ter agido diferente do sistema militar, da estrutura economica, das demais igrejas e, por fim, da própria sociedade brasileira, se sempre esse foi o modelo? Ademais, nas ADs não existem pessoas negras, existem apenas pessoas assembleianas.pt-BR
