The article analyzes the relationship between Law N° 21,070, which regulates the permanence and residence of people, nationals, and foreigners, and the geopolitical and geostrategic assumptions of the Chilean State. Through the analysis of content applied to various legal and regulatory bodies, it is concluded that, through this implementation of the law, the imaginaries of tricontinentality of the Chilean State, the claim of the Presential Sea, and the territorial claim for the Continental Shelf are consolidated. Extended and Ocean Policy. It is also indicated that Rapa Nui is geopolitically and geostrategically sensitive, a fact that is consistent with the treatment given by the Chilean State to this border territory, especially recently.Analizamos la relación existente entre la Ley N° 21.070, que regula la permanencia y residencia de personas nacionales y extranjeras, y los presupuestos geopolíticos y geoestratégicos del Estado chileno. Así, mediante el estudio de contenido aplicado a diversos cuerpos legales se concluye que, por medio de esta implementación de ley, se consolidan los imaginarios de tricontinentalidad del Estado chileno, la pretensión del Mar Presencial, la reivindicación territorial por la Plataforma Continental Extendida y la Política Oceánica. Se indica además que Rapa Nui, es geopolítica y geoestratégicamente sensible, hecho que se condice con el tratamiento dado por el Estado chileno a este territorio fronterizo, sobre todo este último tiempo.
