| dc.description | This paper aims to highlight that the recognition of the factual truth is pivotal, if not essential, to the veracity of a political opinion, as Arendt advocates in her book Truth and Politics. We seek to emphasize that freedom of expression and opinion formation are directly related; and that, for the sake of freedom of speech, Arendt claims the role and political function of the press. In this way, the main points raised here will attend to the order of elaborating the relationship between freedom of expression and opinion formation, interrelating these two issues with the determining role of the press in a post-truth era. | en-US |

Intentamos enfatizar que la libertad de expresión y la formación de opinión están directamente relacionadas; y que, por la propia libertad de expresión, Arendt destaca el rol y la función política de la prensa. De esta forma, los principales puntos aquí planteados atenderán al orden de elaborar la relación entre la libertad de expresión y la formación de opinión, interrelacionando estas dos cuestiones con el rol determinante de la prensa en la era de la posverdad. | es-ES |
