dc.descriptionIn Chile, as in the rest of the world, the participation of women in the architecture history has traditionally been silenced by hegemonic historiography. It is increasingly common to hear that women architects have been excluded from the history of architecture. But what exactly does this refer to? How have women architects been erased from the architecture history? The objectives of this article are analyze in detail the exclusion mechanisms used by the hegemonic historiography of architecture in Chile, and understand how these mechanisms operate. To undertake this task, the case of the historiography of modern architecture is analyzed. The hypothesis that arises is that in Chile the history of modern architecture has been written from the paradigm of masculine subjectivity, which has resulted in the existence of an untold history of modern architecture. It is argued that this absent story in which the female architects participate is based on narratives of exclusion. The article analyzes the canonical texts of modern architecture from a feminist perspective.en-US
dc.descriptionEn Chile, al igual que en el resto del mundo, la participación de las mujeres en la historia de la arquitectura ha sido tradicionalmente silenciada por la historiografía hegemónica. Cada vez resulta más común escuchar que las mujeres han sido excluidas de la historia de la arquitectura. Pero, ¿a qué se refiere esto puntualmente? ¿Cómo han sido borradas las arquitectas de la historia de la arquitectura? Los objetivos del presente artículo son analizar en detalle los mecanismos de exclusión empleados por la historiografía de la arquitectura hegemónica en Chile, y entender de qué manera operan, mediante el estudio de la historiografía de la arquitectura moderna. La hipótesis que se plantea es que en Chile la historia de la arquitectura moderna ha sido escrita desde el paradigma de la subjetividad masculina, que ha dado como resultado la existencia de una historia de la arquitectura moderna no contada. Se plantea que este relato ausente en el que participan las arquitectas está basado en narrativas de exclusión. En el artículo se realiza un análisis de los textos canónicos de la arquitectura moderna desde una perspectiva feminista.es-ES
