This article analyzes different modalities that the wage inclusion of seasonal workers acquires in the temporaryagricultural work of fruits and vegetables. It highlights geographic mobility, border spaces and labor transit, thefeminization process, of different origins, migrations and transmigrations of the labor force in the production offresh fruits and vegetables. The problem raises concerns about the consequences of employment for workers inthe globalized intensive agriculture, knowing that territorial displacements over variable distances produce longworkings hours and poor working conditions, which leads to typify this work as precarious employment. We diginto different countries’ realities to show that, despite the different levels of development, globalized agricultureoperates under similar conditions in several cases, this is, homogenizing the use of local and foreign labor force,feminine and masculine and indigenous, who hardly count with any social rights in a scenario that manifests inhow rar the deprivation of rights is an expression of the new social issue imposed by “globalization from below”(Tarrius, 2007). The study is based on numerous investigations on seasonal workers in Chile that the author hascarried out within the framework of Fondecyt projects.El artículo analiza distintas modalidades que adquiere la inclusión salarial de jornaleros (o temporeros) en el trabajo agrícola temporal de frutas y hortalizas. Aborda la movilidad geográfica, los espacios de frontera y tránsito laboral, el proceso de feminización y etnización, las migraciones y transmigraciones de la fuerza de trabajo en la producción de frutas y hortalizas frescas. Se realizan alcances a distintos países para mostrar que, pese a los distintos niveles de desarrollo, la agricultura globalizada opera bajo semejantes modalidades, homogenizando el uso de fuerza de trabajo local y extranjera, femenina y masculina, indígena, con nulos o escasos derechos sociales en un escenario que hace visible como se encarna la deprivación de derechos como expresión de la nueva cuestión social que impone la “mundialización por abajo” (Tarrius, 2007). El artículo cierra con los hallazgos encontrados por la autora en Chile en estudios de varios proyectos FONDECYT.
