dc.descriptionThe present research focuses on the use of sea suits in the coastal habitat of Tongoy. Activities related to the sea require the use of garments that are waterproof enough for outdoor activities and maintain adequate body temperature during underwater activities. In this context, three types of suits are distinguished: waterproof, dry and wet. The methodology used is predominantly ethnographic, based on participant observation and prolonged conversations with divers with extensive experience at sea, seeking to obtain detailed information about the materiality and use of sea suits. Ultimately, the aim is to deepen knowledge about sea suits, providing valuable knowledge about their use and functionality in sea-related activities in this area.en-US
dc.descriptionLa presente investigación se centra en el uso de trajes de mar en el hábitat costero de Tongoy. Las actividades relacionadas con el mar requieren el uso de prendas que sean lo suficientemente impermeables para las actividades al aire libre y que mantengan la temperatura corporal adecuada durante las actividades subacuáticas. En este contexto, se distinguen tres tipos de trajes: impermeables, secos y mojados. La metodología empleada es predominantemente etnográfica, basada en observaciones participantes y conversaciones prolongadas con buzos con una amplia experiencia en el mar, se buscó obtener información detallada sobre la materialidad y uso de los trajes de mar. En definitiva, se pretende profundizar en el conocimiento de los trajes de mar, aportando conocimiento valioso sobre su uso y funcionalidad en las actividades relacionadas con el mar en esta zona.es-ES
