dc.descriptionIn this article, we will provide an overview of the Chilean-Spanish relations between 1973 and 1975, a brief period during which both countries were governed by dictatorships. Despite some initial friction, both regimes maintained a strong friendship, offering mutual diplomatic support when they faced international isolation due to their respective human rights violations. Additionally, there were intense connections between the Chilean and Spanish opposition movements, with events in Chile greatly influencing the shaping of the emerging Spanish transition to democracy.en-US
dc.descriptionEn el presente artículo vamos a trazar un cuadro de las relaciones chileno-españolas entre 1973 y 1975, un breve periodo en el que los dos países estuvieron gobernados por dictaduras. Tras unos leves roces iniciales ambos regímenes mantuvieron una buena amistad, dándose mutuo apoyo diplomático cuando fueron aislados por la comunidad internacional debido a sus respectivas violaciones de los derechos humanos. Por otro lado, también fueron intensas las relaciones entre la oposición chilena y la española, teniendo lo ocurrido en Chile una gran influencia en la configuración de la incipiente transición española a la democracia.es-ES
