This article analyzes the process of reorganization of the Socialist Party of Chile, PSCh, from September 1973 to 1979. The study aims to identify the identity elements of the party membership during this initial period of dictatorship, focusing on the material and operational characteristics, historical references of this process, as well as the work and family dynamics of clandestine life. The working hypothesis is that these reorganizational elements and their staging constituted a new political culture within the PSCh, conditioned by the authoritarian environment. The study primarily relied on oral sources and also drew upon party documents and literature on the subject.El presente artículo analiza el proceso de reorganización del Partido Socialista de Chile, PSCh desde septiembre de 1973 hasta 1979. El objetivo del estudio está en la identificación de los elementos identitarios de la militancia durante esta primera etapa dictatorial, centrándonos en las características materiales, operativas, en los referentes históricos de este proceso, como también en las dinámicas laborales y familiares de la vida clandestina. Sostenemos como hipótesis de trabajo, que estos elementos reorganizativos y la puesta en escena de los mismos, constituyeron una nueva cultura política en el PSCh, condicionada por el entorno autoritario. El estudio utilizó mayoritariamente fuentes orales y se apoyó también en documentos partidarios y bibliografía sobre el tema.
