The article analyzes whether the anti-vaccine movements in Mexico during the COVID crisis can be considered protest systems. The intention is to focus on the protests registered by different Mexican mass media in August 2021, where various groups, among which “Médicos por la verdad México” stand out, took to the streets to express their disagreement regarding vaccination. The article is organized into five sections: 1. Language, 2. Symbolically generalized media, 3. Code, institutionalization of the no, and social systems, 4. The no of protest and 5. Anti-vaccine movements in Mexico as protest systems. At the end of the article a conclusion is presented where the important contribution that Niklas Luhmann makes to the study of protest is emphasized, based on the idea of complexity.El artículo analiza si los movimientos antivacunas en México durante la crisis por COVID pueden considerarse sistemas de protesta. La intención del presente documento es concentrarse en las protestas registradas por diferentes medios de comunicación mexicanos en agosto de 2021, donde diversas agrupaciones, entre las que destacan “Médicos por la verdad México”, salieron a las calles para expresar su inconformidad respecto a la vacunación anti Covid19. La reflexión se organiza en cinco apartados: 1. Lenguaje, 2. Medios de comunicación simbólicamente generalizados, 3. Código, institucionalización del no y sistemas sociales, 4. El no de la protesta y 5. Movimientos antivacunas en México como sistemas de protesta. Al final del artículo se presenta una conclusión donde se enfatiza el importante aporte que hace Niklas Luhmann al estudio de la protesta, a partir de la idea de complejidad.
