The document that is published corresponds to an evaluation carried out by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), at the beginning of the government of Salvador Allende and the Popular Unity (19701973), regarding the Revolutionary Left Movement (MIR), the main reference of the Chilean extreme left. Said report allows us to have a close perspective of the points of view and background that the CIA held about this revolutionary organization, including its historical trajectory and close relationship with the Cuban government before and during the experience of the Popular Unity.El documento que se publica corresponde a una evaluación realizada por la Agencia Central de Inteligencia (CIA) estadounidense, a comienzos del gobierno de Salvador Allende y la Unidad Popular (1970-1973), relativa al Movimiento de Izquierda Revolucionaria (MIR), principal referente de la extrema izquierda chilena. Dicho informe, nos permite tener una perspectiva cercana de los puntos de vista y antecedentes que mantenía la CIA acerca de esta organización revolucionaria, incluida su trayectoria histórica y estrecha relación con el gobierno cubano antes y durante la experiencia de la Unidad Popular.
