dc.description	Modern politics, as exemplarily manifested in constitutionalism, is the daughter of a mechanistic rationalism which, imagining or inventing men as functional to the mechanism, entails the abolition of all order or of any norm superior to human reason and will. Reading the works of Joseph deMaistre (1753-1821) allows us to understand the causes of this mechanistic rationalism, to notice the consequences of its application, and to discover some foundations of political life and law that would make the political-legal order a more just institution, therefore more stable and more convenient to the end of man.	en-US
dc.description	La política moderna, como de forma ejemplar se manifiesta en el constitucionalismo, es hija de un racionalismo mecanicista que, imaginando o inventando a los hombres como sean funcionales al mecanismo, conlleva la abolición de todo orden o de toda norma superior a la razón y la voluntad humanas. La lectura de las obras de Joseph de Maistre (1753-1821) permite comprender las causas de ese racionalismo mecanicista, advertir las consecuencias de su aplicación y descubrir unos fundamentos de la vida política y del derecho que harían del orden político-jurídico una institución más justa, por tanto, más estable y más conveniente al fin del hombre.	es-ES
