This article seeks to explore the connections between vision and tale, touch and look, as a search of what originates and produces vision. In this regard, the act of seeing will be presented as the staging of the artwork process, where there is an encounter with the openness, and with the fracture of the unit. This will allow us to reflect about the production of the look, as a course that meets with the openness, with the distance, with what can’t be seen, which is the distance’s deficit, but also, what touches it inescapably. In this way, tale, look and touch form a relationship that leads us to what appears, in the process of searching, as the ineluctable cleavage of the act of seeing, which is present in different moments of our culture, that are referred to the search of the origin, and to the construction of a look that unfolds in the tale. From Didi-Hubermann’s The ineluctable scission of seeing and its relation with Joyce’s Ulysses, we can establish the connections that lead us to the paths that open when there’s an encounter with what can be touched, and with the vision.El artículo busca explorar las conexiones entre visión y relato, tacto y mirada, como búsqueda de aquello que origina y produce la visión. En este sentido, el ver se presentará como escenificación del proceso de la obra de arte, en el que el encuentro con lo abierto y las fracturas de la unidad. Esto permitirá llevarnos a la reflexión en torno a la producción de la mirada como recorrido que se encuentra con lo abierto, con la distancia, con aquello que no podemos ver —que es su déficit— pero la toca ineludiblemente. De este modo, el relato, la mirada, y el tacto entran en una relación que nos lleva hacia aquello que en la búsqueda aparece como ineluctable escisión del ver y se presenta en distintos momentos de la cultura referidos a la búsqueda del origen y a la construcción de una mirada que se despliega en el relato. Desde el texto La ineluctable escisión del ver de Didi-Hubermann y su vínculo con el Ulises de Joyce, establecemos las conexiones que nos llevan por los caminos que abre el encuentro con lo táctil y la visión.
