How to represent death in the artistic sphere? Can we talk about disgust in art? These are some of the questions that will guide this paper that explores in particular in the relationship between mexican artist Teresa Margolles´s photographic series Autorretratos en la morgue (1998) and philosopher Immanuel Kant´s notion of “disgust”.¿Cómo se representa la muerte en la esfera artística? ¿Se puede hablar del asco en el arte? Estas son algunas de las preguntas que cruzarán este trabajo, en el que, se indagará particularmente en la relación entre la serie fotográfica Autorretratos en la morgue (1998) de la artista mexicana Teresa Margolles y la noción de “asco” del filósofo Immanuel Kant.
