dc.description	The text that follows proposes, beyond highlighting the provocative effect of the canonical article “Why have there been no great women artists?”, to allude to the breadth of Nochlin’s investigative work, as well as the relevan- ce that her questions contribute to the development of the historiographical discipline framed in its continuous appeal to review, to look again at the legacy of tradition. The latter will be addressed from a comparison between the revisionist work of an artist who portrayed her and her own convictions regarding the permanent need to challenge not only the canon but also the assumptions that support it.	en-US
dc.description	El texto que sigue se propone, más allá de resaltar el efecto provo- cador del canónico artículo “¿Por qué no ha habido grandes mujeres artistas?”, aludir a la amplitud del trabajo investigativo de Linda Nochlin, así como a la relevancia que sus preguntas aportan para el desarrollo de la disciplina histo- riográfica enmarcadas en su continua apelación por revisar, por volver a mirar el legado de la tradición. Esto último será abordado a partir de una compa- ración entre el trabajo revisionista de una artista que la retrató y sus propias convicciones respecto de la necesidad permanente de desafiar no solo el canon sino los supuestos que lo sustentan.	es-ES
