dc.description	This article makes a revision of the more of six hundred verses that compose the so called Hymn to Liberty (1823) of the “national poet” Dionysius Solomos (17898-1857), in order to ascertain elements of the classical culture that the poet rescues for his work; and some elements of the modern history that illustrate the hymn’s subject; and, in addition, the linguistic process of some words whose path originates in the Byzantine world. The conclusion is that the Ύμνος εις ελευθερίαν gathers varied components that follow diverse moments of the Greek history and facts that are similar to this emancipator feat, in order to contribute to the construction of a national identity built into the cultural development of “the Hellenic”, in accordance with other harmonious cultures. The second part of this work is a Spanish version of the Hymn, with notes.	en-US
dc.description	El articulo hace una revisión de los más de seiscientos versos que componen el llamado Himno a la Libertad (1823) de Dionýsios Solomós (1798- 1857), el “poeta nacional”, con el fin de rastrear, por una parte, elementos de la cultura clásica que él rescata para su obra; por otra, elementos de la historia moderna que ilustran la temática del himno; y, además, el proceso lingüístico de algunos de los términos empleados cuyo recorrido se origina o atraviesa el mundo bizantino. La conclusión es que el Ύμνος εις ελευθερίαν reúne componentes variados que remiten a diversos momentos de la historia griega y a hechos similares a la gesta emancipadora en marcha, con el fin de contribuir a la construcción de una identidad nacional integrada al desarrollo cultural de “lo helénico”, en comunión con otras culturas harmónicas. La segunda parte de este trabajo es una versión española del Himno, con anotación.	es-ES
