| dc.description | This paper deals with the representation of time and memory in La amortajada (1938) by María Luisa Bombal. At the same time, we inquire certain elements of representation which are referential aspects of the text that sustain meanings in opposition to the modernity of the aesthetic resources developed by the author. Our purpose is to show, in the literary text, the existence of apparent contractions in the metaphysical conception of reality. It is in this sense that the text written by Bombal is not an exception and much less a text that could be looked down upon considering the hermeneutical options that it suggests.This deeply vocative text shows, at the same time, how literary and cultural imaginaries with complicated roots that link the Latin American continent with Europe are deployed in Latin America. | en-US |
| dc.description | Nos ocupamos en este estudio de la representación del tiempo y la memoria en La amortajada (1938) de María Luisa Bombal y, junto con ello, indagamos en algunos componentes de la representación que constituyen elementos referenciales del texto, los que sostienen una actividad significativa disonante con la modernidad de los recursos estéticos desplegados por la autora. Nuestro propósito es hacer visible en el texto literario la presencia de evidentes contradicciones en la concepción metafísica de la realidad. En este sentido, el texto de Bombal no es una excepción ni menos aún un texto que se pueda desdeñar ante las alternativas hermenéuticas que nos propone. Es, además de un texto hondamente apelativo, la muestra del modo en que se despliegan en América Latina algunos imaginarios literarios y culturales que arraigan de manera problemática entre este continente y el europeo. | es-ES |
