dc.descriptionAn attempt is made to re-signify Equity, problematizing intercultural health practices in Chile derived from this notion; making visible conditions for Public Policies based on collective understanding of social health determination, from Critical Epidemiology; versus the vision of social determinants as risk, from Hegemonic Epidemiology. Analyze Intercultural Health Policies, Agreements, Laws and empirical reality in Chile and the Wallmapu, reveals the official equity discourse as rhetoric of containmentlegitimization of inequality and colonialism; showing how it could be based on a dialogue of knowledge, not fundamentalism and a struggle for power; understand health as a cultural, biological and spiritual phenomenon; with vigilant and reactive policies against the disease and, proposals in sovereign construction of health and life.en-US
