| dc.description | Thomas Aquinas develops the doctrine of creation through three fundamental notions: production, distinction, and government of beings. Regarding the distinction, Aquinas affirms that God is the exemplary cause of the order of the world. In this sense, he explains that the divine intellect establishes the measure of all creatures based on immutable ideas, just as the ratio of an architectural whole includes at the same time that of the parts that constitute it. As operating principles, divine ideas promote the emergence of an effect by way of an imitation of what is understood. In this sense, Aquinas points out that the similarity of beings is imperfect, because it multiplies the goods that, in God, are given simply and undividedly. Some interpreters affirm that the Tomasian texts suggest two different levels of similarity, which is problematic due to two questions raised by exemplarism: one of them concerns the way in which the causal status of the archetypes conceived by the divine intellect and, the other, to the way in which the imitation of creatures is understood in view of such models. This work aims to study these levels of comprehension through a textual and critical analysis of both the sources and the specialized bibliography. | en-US |
| dc.description | Tomás de Aquino desarrolla la doctrina sobre la creación a la luz de tres nociones fundamentales: las de producción, distinción y gobierno de los seres. Por lo que atañe a la distinción, él afirma que Dios es causa ejemplar del orden del mundo. En este sentido, explica que el intelecto divino dispone la medida de todas las criaturas en virtud de ideas inmutables, así como la ratio de un todo arquitectónico comprende a la vez la de las partes que lo constituyen. Como principios operativos, las ideas divinas propician el surgimiento de un efecto a modo de una imitación de lo entendido. En relación con esto último, el Aquinate no deja de señalar que la semejanza de los seres es imperfecta, porque multiplica los bienes que, en Dios, se dan simple e indivisamente. Algunos intérpretes advierten que los textos tomasianos sugieren dos niveles distintos de semejanza, lo cual no deja de ser problemático debido a dos interrogantes que plantea el ejemplarismo: uno de ellos atañe al modo en que es comprendido el estatuto de causa de los arquetipos concebidos por el intelecto divino y, el otro, al modo en que es comprendida la imitación de las criaturas en vista de tales modelos. El objetivo de este trabajo pretende incursionar en estos niveles de comprensión por medio de un análisis textual y crítico tanto de las fuentes como de la bibliografía especializada. | es-ES |
