dc.descriptionThis document explores the convergence between occupational therapy and ecofeminism. From an ecological perspective, occupational therapy highlights the symbiotic relationship between people and their environment. Ecofeminism proposes a relationship of interdependence and care with nature, which can lead to a more holistic and sustainable occupational therapy. The integration of ecofeminist principles into occupational therapy has the potential to revalue occupations related to care and sustainability, such as horticulture, and to redefine destructive occupational patterns towards more environmentally respectful ways of life. Occupational therapy, in turn, offers a methodology to transform ecofeminist theories into concrete practices, promoting occupational changes that positively impact people's health and wellbeing, society, and the environment. In conclusion, ecofeminism provides a valuable theoretical framework for a fairer, more sustainable, and inclusive occupational therapy practice.en-US
dc.descriptionEste documento explora la convergencia entre la terapia ocupacional y el ecofeminismo. Desde una perspectiva ecológica, la terapia ocupacional resalta la relación simbiótica entre las personas y su entorno. El ecofeminismo propone una relación de interdependencia y cuidado con la naturaleza, lo cual puede llevar a una terapia ocupacional más holística y sostenible. La integración de los principios del ecofeminismo en la terapia ocupacional tiene el potencial de revalorizar ocupaciones vinculadas al cuidado y la sostenibilidad, como la horticultura, y a redefinir patrones ocupacionales destructivos hacia formas de vida más respetuosas con el entorno. La terapia ocupacional, a su vez, ofrece una metodología para transformar teorías ecofeministas en prácticas concretas, promoviendo cambios ocupacionales que impacten positivamente en la salud y el bienestar de las personas, la sociedad y el medio ambiente.
