dc.descriptionThis theoretical reflection is framed by the fact that Sexological Occupational Therapy is a concept I had to coin to explain my therapeutic, educational, research, and academic work. This is because sexology is a relatively new specialization in our country, and moreover, there are only a few colleagues, not more than a couple, who are practicing sexology and occupational therapy. My inclination towards the integration of disciplinary dualities has been a deliberate aspect of my professional practice, and through this text, I aim to invite you on a journey through a conceptual city that is gradually taking shape. Some may think it is written in a scattered manner, while others may find it circular, but for me, it follows the logic of constructing something that I had to develop within the realm of conceptual craftsmanship to explain interventions with noticeable outcomes, involving individuals and communities. We will start by considering the more commonly understood notion of consent, as a contract, and then delve into topics such as feminist critique of consent. Furthermore, we will explore why consent is crucial in sexual health as part of overall well-being. Finally, I will delve into why sexual consent goes beyond being a mere contract, how it relates to the soma, and why it is a potent therapeutic tool for this interdisciplinary integration and clinical intervention.en-US
dc.descriptionLa presente reflexión teórica está enmarcada en el hecho de que la Terapia Ocupacional Sexológica es un concepto que tuve que acuñar para explicar mi quehacer terapéutico, docente, investigativo y académico, debido a que la sexología es una especialidad bastante nueva en nuestro país, pero además, somos no más de un par de colegas quienes estamos ejerciendo sexología y terapia ocupacional. Mi tendencia a la integración de las dualidades disciplinarias ha sido un aspecto volitivo de mi quehacer profesional y, a través de este texto, quiero invitarles a un viaje sobre una ciudad conceptual, que va tejiéndose. Algunos pensarán que está escrita de manera disgregada, otres de manera circular, pero para mí tiene la lógica de la construcción de algo que en concreto tuve que elaborar dentro de la artesanía conceptual, para explicar intervenciones con resultados notorios, con personas y comunidades. Partiremos pensando sobre la noción más conocida del consentimiento, es decir como contrato, para luego adentrarnos en materias como la crítica feminista al consentimiento, y luego, por supuesto, a por qué el consentimiento es clave en la salud sexual como parte de la salud integral. Finalmente, profundizaré en por qué el consentimiento sexual es más que un contrato, cómo se relaciona con el soma y por qué es una potente herramienta terapéutica para esta integración disciplinaria y la intervención clínica.es-ES
