dc.descriptionWhile this issue was being developed throughout the year 2023, violence against women and gender-diverse individuals increased worldwide, driven, among other factors, by the rise of far-right politics, armed conflicts, anti-feminist movements, and the reinforcement of patriarchal culture in daily life. At the same time, various forms of resistance and re-existence promoted by women, gender-diverse individuals, communities, and disciplines such as occupational therapy are also emerging strongly to confront this landscape and offer alternatives to a new way of thinking about life, all lives. It is these tensions and resistances that we have sought to convey through the illustration accompanying the cover of this special issue, created by occupational therapist Constanza Mansilla Uribe, originally from Puqueldón Island in the Chiloé Archipelago. In the artist's words, this illustration shows how "struggles converge and recognize each other, become stronger, and voices become more resonant; feminism transcends differences when we walk together for a common good and shared purpose." For this call, we received articles from occupational therapists in Chile and Argentina who chose this issue to disseminate their work and experiences, such as reflections, research findings, and systematizations of feminist practices and work by feminist organizations. Now, with this issue complete, we believe it is fair to speak of feminist occupational therapy.en-US
dc.descriptionMientras este número se iba gestando, durante todo el año 2023, las violencias hacia mujeres y disidencias sexogenéricas se acrecentaron en todo el mundo, impulsadas, entre otras cosas, por el avance de la política de ultraderecha, los conflictos bélicos, los movimientos antifeministas y el refuerzo de la cultura patriarcal en la vida cotidiana. Al mismo tiempo, las diversas formas de resistencia y re-existencia que impulsan mujeres, disidencias sexogenéricas, comunidades y disciplinas como la terapia ocupacional, también se levantan con fuerza para hacer frente a este panorama y ofrecer alternativas a una nueva forma de pensar la vida, todas las vidas. Son estas tensiones y resistencias las que hemos querido transmitir a través de la ilustración que acompaña la portada de este número especial, realizada por la terapeuta ocupacional Constanza Mansilla Uribe, oriunda de la Isla Puqueldón, en el Archipiélago de Chiloé. En palabras de la artista, esta ilustración muestra cómo “las luchas convergen y se reconocen, se vuelven más fuertes y las voces más resonantes; el feminismo trasciende las diferencias cuando caminamos juntas por un bien común y con un sentido compartido”.Para esta convocatoria recibimos artículos de terapeutas ocupacionales de Chile y Argentina, quienes escogieron este número para difundir sus trabajos y experiencias, tales como reflexiones, resultados de investigaciones y sistematizaciones de prácticas y trabajo de organizaciones feministas. Ahora, con este número ya completo, creemos que es justo hablar de una terapia ocupacional feminista.es-ES
