| dc.description | In this article I examine the way in which Joseph Ratzinger, in his habilitation thesis, dealt with Bonaventure's rejection of philosophy, one of his favorite theologians. Ratzinger's effort to reconcile the Seraphic doctor with philosophical thought sheds valuable light on the problem of the relationship between faith and reason in general, and theology and philosophy in particular. In the final analysis, Bonaventure's enemy is not philosophy, but a disordered way of understanding it with a claim to autonomy, disconnected from the sources of revelation. | en-US |
| dc.description | En este artículo se analiza el modo en que Joseph Ratzinger se enfrentó en su tesis de habilitación al rechazo de la filosofía por parte de Buenaventura, uno de sus teólogos favoritos. El esfuerzo que hace Ratzinger por reconciliar al doctor Seráfico con el pensamiento filosófico arroja valiosas luces para iluminar el problema de la relación entre la fe y la razón en general, y la teología y la filosofía en particular. El enemigo de Buenaventura no es a fin de cuentas la filosofía, sino un modo desordenado de entenderla con una pretensión de autonomía, desconectada de las fuentes de la revelación. | es-ES |
