The purpose of this article is to identify and analyze the discourses surrounding the notion of sports seedbeds and children's rights present in various actors of a children's football club in Montevideo, Uruguay. The methodology involved triangulation between analysis of official documents, in-depth interviews, and participant observation in children's football matches and practices. The study reveals a false polarization between the two identified notions that implies a tendency towards immobilization in the face of possible transformations in daily practices of children's football. The article challenges us to reflect on the relationships between power, suggested trajectories, and the sports culture present in football practices, while also accounting for the role of the National Children's Football Organization as a regulatory body for children's football at the national level.El presente artículo tiene por finalidad identificar y analizar los discursos en torno a la noción de semilleros deportivos y los derechos de los niños presentes en diversos actores de un club de fútbol infantil en Montevideo, Uruguay. La metodología implicó la triangulación entre análisis de documentos oficiales, entrevistas en profundidad y la observación participante en partidos y prácticas de fútbol infantil. El estudio revela una falsa polarización entre las dos nociones identificadas que implica una tendencia a la inmovilización frente a transformaciones posibles en las prácticas cotidianas del fútbol infantil. El artículo nos desafía a reflexionar sobre las relaciones entre el poder, las trayectorias sugeridas y la cultura deportiva presente en las prácticas del fútbol, a la vez que da cuenta del papel de la Organización Nacional de Fútbol Infantil como organismo regulador del fútbol infantil a nivel Nacional.
